1. Street wear outfit
-The term streetwear is actually quite a common term in the modern fashion world. It refers to a distinctive style of street fashion, which has its roots in Californian and skate culture, but also encompasses elements of hip-hop fashion, modern high fashion and haute couture.
But where did streetwear actually originate? With modern fashion branching off into so many different and distinctive subgenres, it can be difficult to distinguish the fads from the mainstays. But it would appear that streetwear, or at least the more broadly termed urban fashion, is actually here to stay.
2. Runway fashion
-A fashion show (French défilé de mode) is an event put on by a fashion designer to showcase their upcoming line of clothing and/or accessories during Fashion Week. Fashion shows debut every season, particularly the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasons. This is where the latest fashion trends are made. The two most influential fashion weeks are Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, which are both semiannual events. The Milan, London and Berlin fashion weeks are also of global importance.
In a typical fashion show, models walk the catwalk dressed in the clothing created by the designer. Clothing is illuminated on the runway using various forms of lighting and special effects. The order in which each model walks out wearing a specific outfit, is usually planned in accordance to the statement that the designer wants to make about their collection. It is then up to the audience to not only try to understand what the designer is trying to say, but to also visually deconstruct each outfit and try to appreciate the detail and craftsmanship of every single piece.
3. Indie fashion
-Indie style is short for independent style and is characterized by an interest in handmade and unique items rather than items made in a factory. In many cases, the appearance of being unique or quirky is enough to make something qualify as indie even if it was made in a factory. This style overlaps heavily with hipster style and might even be said to be equivalent, particularly in terms of clothing. Indie style clothing is often vintage, altered in some way, or made by an artist. Truly indie designs are often made by the person who wears the clothing, as these represent a do-it-yourself philosophy.
